Volunteer Opportunities
Setup: Saturday, June 14 starting at 8:00 am
Set up tables and prepare the rooms for the sale. Wear work clothes and bring work gloves. Morning donuts and pizza lunch provided.
Sorting & Pricing: Saturday, and Monday through Thursday (see times above)
Unpacking donation bags and boxes, pricing items and moving them to the appropriate areas of the sale. Volunteers are often needed in general sales, children’s clothes & toys, adult clothes, boutique, Christmas, and gems & treasures rooms.
Sherpas: Saturday, June 14 through the end of sale (see times above)
Help unload vehicles as donations arrive or push loaded carts to the sorting rooms. We especially need help in the late afternoon until closing, and also during the sale to help shoppers move purchases to their cars.
Furniture Sales: Tuesday through the end of the sale (see times above)
Help set up the furniture area prior to the sale dates and assist customers purchasing furniture and carpets during the sale.
Hospitality: Saturday, June 14 through the end of sale (see times above)
Help coordinate arriving sale volunteers. Help set up the volunteer daily snack area. Provide directions to customers during the sale.
Outside Sale Area: Tuesday through Thursday, from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm
Help set up, test, and price donated outside goods such as picnic tables and chairs, yard hand and power tools, grills, large playsets, etc. Assistance is also needed during the sale days.
Electrical Items Tables: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm
Test the functionality of electrical donation items such as radios, lamps, kitchen appliances, tools, etc. Also help during the sale days.
Parking Lot Attendees:
Help direct traffic during the Friday evening sale, and on Saturday (especially in the morning)
Cleanup: Saturday, June 21 starting at 1:30 pm
Pack up unsold items for charity donation, take down and stow tables, discard or recycle all leftover unusable materials, and reset all rooms. Please note that many volunteers have worked all week and are exhausted by the end of the sale. Cleanup help is greatly appreciated!
No experience necessary! Help for a few hours or a few days. If you would like to volunteer and have not already been contacted, please provide your name and contact information to Alan Oley or Linda Riley.
