Communications Specialist
Job Overview
The Communication Specialist creates and manages print, web and video content to support the ministries of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Supervision
Reports to Office Manager.
Responsibilities
Create Print Publications
- Design & print weekly bulletins.
- Design & print seasonal newsletters, postcards and other print publications.
- Prepare signage for events.
Manage Website, Digital Communication & Media
- Update website with current content.
- Prepare & send weekly eNews.
- Develop social media content consistent with church messaging, and monitor social media interactions.
Event Support
- Work with directors and volunteers to prepare event registrations.
- Publicize ministry events through signage, publications, website and social media.
- Prepare & print materials for events.
- Prepare & post signage for events.
Prepare & Manage Video Resources
- Support staff & volunteers in creating video resources.
- Maintain church YouTube channel & website video feeds.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Mac systems required, PC also preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Canva, Constant Contact and other digital communication platforms.
- Layout & design capabilities.
- Project management abilities, including ability work within deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Video editing skills preferred.
- Attention to detail & proofreading skills.
- Confidentiality & discretion.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or public relations preferred, or equivalent proven experience.
- PA Clearances required.
Term of Position
This is a part-time salaried position, with a flexible hybrid schedule. The salary range is $18,000 - $22,000 annually, with work hours varying between 10-25 hours per week. Must be in-office at least one day Tuesday through Thursday.

Kitchen Staff Member
St. Paul’s Kidz Korner and Kidz Venture are a childcare and enrichment programs serving students in kindergarten through 5th grade. We provide a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive—and we believe that healthy, delicious food is a key part of that mission. Join our team and help make a difference every day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in large quantities for students and staff
- Support daily and special event meals (e.g., Thanksgiving, Graduation, Summer Camp)
- Follow and adjust menus based on needs and availability
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen (daily, weekly, monthly tasks)
- Monitor inventory, rotate stock, and assist with ordering supplies
- Set up and clean up for breakfast, lunch, and snack times
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols (ServSafe preferred)
- Follow kitchen and workplace safety procedures, including emergency protocols
- Engage with students positively and promote healthy eating habits
- Attend team meetings and training sessions
- Collaborate with team members in a supportive, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Prior food service or institutional kitchen experience preferred
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Ability to follow policies, safety standards, and procedures
- Passion for creating healthy meals and serving children with care
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Morning and midday shift
- Additional hours during special events (as needed)
