Organist/Collaborative Keyboardist
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Allison Park, PA is seeking its next organist/collaborative keyboardist to join our vibrant Music Ministry. This individual will help lead the congregation in worship, serving God and God's people by drawing all closer to Christ through the gift of music.
Position Overview
The Organist/Collaborative Keyboardist provides all service music for regular and special
services, accompanies the Wesleyan Choir in rehearsal and in services, and accompanies the Children’s Choir in rehearsal and services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Read and be familiar with weekly and monthly plans that are emailed. In coordination with the Director of Music Ministries, select and play prelude music, offertory music, communion music (when appropriate), and postlude music at all regular services. During the regular program year, services are 8:30 am and 10:30 am.
- For the 8:30 am service, accompany occasional special music offerings (vocalists and instrumentalists).
- Play all hymns selected for all regular services.
- Provide keyboard music for special services as assigned. This normally includes Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Good Friday.
- Accompany the Wesleyan Choir during regular rehearsals and during services. Rehearsal is currently Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm – 9 pm.
- Be present at 9:50 am to rehearse with the Wesleyan Choir before the 10:30 am service.
- Accompany the Children’s Choir during regular rehearsals and during services. The Children’s Choir rehearsal time is currently TBD.
- Keep Director of Music Ministries informed of keyboard instrument maintenance needs.
- Work within the provided budget.
- Arrange for appropriately skilled substitutes when absent.

Receptionist/Office Assistant
JOB OVERVIEW
The Receptionist & Office Assistant welcomes people to St. Paul’s during office hours; answers phones and emails; assists with scheduling events & volunteers; and provides administrative support for the congregation’s hospitality and care ministries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receptionist
- Offer welcome to parishioners and guests during office hours (currently 9am – 4pm, Mon-Thurs).
- Answer phones, direct phone calls, and relay messages.
- Monitor office doors, maintain visitor log, and provide oversight for entry to building.
- Work with facilities staff to permit building access for contractors and inspectors.
- Receive and respond to church emails.
Office Assistant
- Record prayer requests and member needs, and share with staff and volunteers.
- Receive requests for baptisms, weddings, funerals and other events, and coordinate scheduling with staff.
- Prepare and print certificates, letters and other documents.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of event details.
- Track volunteer clearances and maintain records.
- Maintain & update electronic and physical filing systems.
- Collect and distribute mail; receive and ship packages.
- Provide support for ministry programs, including gathering RSVPs, sending reminders, scheduling volunteers, copying and printing.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills on phone, email and in person.
- Interpersonal skills and compassionate care for others.
- Technical proficiency, including phone system and computer competency.
- Thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize needs in a constantly-changing environment.
- Ability to lift and carry packages, signage, and other materials when needed.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Associate or Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent proven experience in an office environment.
- PA Clearances required.
TERMS OF POSITION
This is a part-time hourly position with a 28-hour work week (Monday – Thursday, 9am – 4pm). The pay range is $16-$19/hour. Potential for a full-time position with additional responsibilities.

Van Driver / Bus Monitor
Job Type: Part-time (16–20 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

We’re looking for a dependable and caring Van Driver / Bus Monitor to help safely transport our children and support our mission of quality childcare.
Job Summary
As a Van Driver / Bus Monitor, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of children to and from our center. This role ensures a high level of safety, supervision, and communication during each trip.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a school van safely to transport children.
- Serve as a bus monitor, assisting with boarding and supervision.
- Ensure all children are buckled in age-appropriate car seats or seat belts.
- Assist children in and out of the vehicle safely.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain clear and accurate transportation logs.
- Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding scheduling or behavior issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required (CDL Class B with Passenger/School Bus endorsements a plus).
- Clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report).
- Must pass Pennsylvania child abuse clearances, background check, and drug screening.
- Prior experience working with children or in a childcare setting preferred.
- Punctual, responsible, and committed to child safety.
