WHAT IS CAT CAMP?

CAT Camp is a one-week “Creative Arts and Things” program offering spiritual formation along with creative expression.  Classes are taught by adults with a passion for music, arts, drama, and crafts. CAT Camp takes place the week of June 17-21, 2019.  Random acts of kindness will be the overarching theme for CAT Camp this year.

WHAT CLASSES ARE OFFERED AND WHAT AGES CAN ATTEND?

The CAT Camp day is divided into two sessions and subdivided by age. Children entering Kindergarten and First Grade are able to attend the morning session from 9am-noon. They attend a rotation of classes daily featuring art, story, music and play.  There is also common time where children have a light snack and rehearse music for the musical that is presented Friday afternoon at 1:00pm.

Children entering 2nd through 6th grade will attend 5 different classes thru the course of camp, experiencing one different class each day.  This will allow each child attending CAT Camp to be assured to attend some of the favorite classes such as Cookie Houses, Woodworking, and Acrylic Painting. The class is split into 2- 1 hour class-times.  Outside of class-time children are offered a light snack and they participate in musical rehearsal along with a common time.    Classes for this age group are also taught from 9-noon.

All children attending CAT Camp between 9 and noon will learn music and be part of the musical production CAT Camp experience.  Even those not attending the afternoon session of CAT Camp still have a role in the Musical.
