CREATIVE HANDS FOR COMFORT AND WARMTH MISSION STATEMENT

The St. Paul’s Creative Hands for Comfort and Warmth Ministry is an inclusive broad-based community of faith providing outreach service of fellowship and mission. Creative Hands invites, encourages, empowers and supports people of all ages to work together in responding to the needs of others. Centered in Jesus Christ, we touch lives by sharing God’s love through our gifts and talents. We promote comfort, justice and peace by making knitted and crocheted blankets, quilts and hats for infants and persons of all ages at Nyadire Mission in Zimbabwe; by knitting or crocheting lap blankets for residents in local hospices; by making blankets for Project Linus; and by engaging in other ad hoc activities such as preparing empowerment kits for young females in Zimbabwe so they can go to school all month long, working with other St. Paul’s missions such as Prayer and Squares, Love Baskets etc. and other service projects as the need arise. Any person of any skill level is welcome, as we will teach beginners the necessary skills.

Between 2005 and 2018, we have raised $32,000 for Nyadire Mission through needlework classes and sales from the Mission Mall. Our members have created and donated 1875 blankets and 2919 hats to benefit the people of Nyadire Mission, 555 blankets for Project Linus children, and 614 lap robes for hospice.
